Hello readers!
Just so you know, yesterday was the actual day for NOMAD Fringe.
It was really awesome!
Let's start from top to bottom. :)
First of all, the Malay Dancers had to assemble at the dance studio by 1:30pm sharp. I went to school earlier to help out with stuffs regarding cosmetics, costumes and so on. I was really excited and was looking forward to performing over at the actual venue. :D And so, upon reaching the dance room, we immediately got dressed so as to not waste time for the time we need for the applying of make-up. Goodness grief! The make-up was really thick! But it was worth-it, so the audience would be able to see our expressions well while we were performing. :) Here are the pictures!

And so, time flew very fast till it was eventually 4pm. We were a bit late though cause some of us had not been applied make-up completely. By around 4:15pm, we finally boarded the bus to reach our actual venue. It wasn't really far, just a stone's throw away, but hey, with our props and costumes, it'll be better to take a bus instead. hahaha :) Upon reaching there, we had to put our bags inside the conference room in the RC to ensure safety for our valuables. And soon, we started rehearsing. We had a run-through with all the other performers till around 5:15 - 5:30pm, and then off we went for our break. :) It was a delicious spread of Nasi Ayam and a refreshing cool drink of grape juice. The food was eventually gone by around half-an-hour! With all the performers, teachers, organisers eating, what to expect, right? :D
Soon, it was already 7pm and the show began.
The Contemporary Dancers kick-start the show with their entertaining and cool dance movements which probably got everyone awed! Too bad the Malay Dancers had to stay at the holding area because we were not allowed to be seen by the audience. Next up, it was Drama and Choir's turn. While they were performing, we went behind stage as it was our turn next. We were anxious and nervous at first, but soon all the feelings seem to melt away as we saw how the Drama members seem to be having fun. :) Finally, when the choir completed singing Heal the world, it was already the end of their performance. And it was our turn to perform next.
I HAVE TO SAY, that we kinda did well! I was all hyped-up while performing. I bet the others too from the way they smiled so confidently. :) Even though i did quite an embarrassing mistake, it's okay! It's over, and it's useless to brood over it anymore. :) We went back to the holding area once again and waited till the final performance which would indicate the end of the show. While the line dancers were performing, guess what? We had to give out song sheets to the audience for the final product - where everyone in the end would sing harmoniously together..
Finally, the moment arrived. All of the performers came together as one, and sang all the songs (im not sure of the names of the chinese songs, though) and especially the YOG song! The Oh Yeah song by JJ Lin. It was indeed a wonderful and harmonious one. All of us swayed and moved to the beats of the song, and i can tell everyone enjoyed it! It was a joyous ending for all us and also for the audience. All the hard word, all the time we sacrificed for the trainings, PAID OFF tremendously!
I can never forget the scenario, neither can the others. Am i right? hehe.
Everything went perfectly well, the whole performance started off with a start, and ended satisfyingly. I hope there would be such performances like this in the future, and i will definitely love to participate again!
(A thousand of apologies, i didnt manage to take pictures during the actual event due to lack of time, and also due to the valuables placed in the RC which were not allowed to be taken outside while we were performing)
